PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
1980 - present Private Architectural Practice
specializing in high-end educational institution and residential
interiors. Educational projects include full scope services for faculty,
administrative and study/learning areas from programming, space
planning, preliminary design, budgeting, specifying, and procurement
through construction coordination. Design and integration of new systems
furniture, executive, lounge, and existing furniture, computer
equipment, lighting, signage, fine arts and finishes. Residential
projects include single family homes and cooperative apartment design of
kitchens, baths, cabinetry, woodwork, furnishings, window treatments,
lighting and wall/floor coverings. Full scope of services are included
for alterations, and additions and design Architect services for new
homes.
CLIENTS / EMPLOYMENT
2001 - present Brooklyn Law School facilities
design on retainer basis. Space planning, interior design, furniture,
fixtures and equipment for new 370-bed Residence Hall apartment building
including design of visiting faculty and Dean's apartments. Robert A.M.
Stern, Design Architect and Schuman Lichtenstein Claman Efon, Architects
of record. Administrative and academic area space planning, alterations,
furniture and finishes, visiting faculty apartment design and
furnishings.
1987 - 2001 Brooklyn Law School facilities design
services on project basis.
1993 - 1996 Design Consultant to Rutt of
New York, 150 East 58th Street, New York, NY. Project Designer for
architectural woodworking and cabinetry installations including sales,
client coordination, design, detailing, specifying and custom kitchen
design.
1987 - 1992 Design Consultant to Rutt of New Jersey, the
Hammer & Nail, Wyckoff, New Jersey, including design, sales, space
planning for residential alterations and additions, architectural
woodworking and cabinetry design, custom kitchen design.
1974 - 1980 Full time employment Moger Woodson Architects, New York, NY. Gained
experience in general architectural practice including healthcare,
residential and institutional projects and fulfilled requirements for
professional licensing. As Jr. Architect participated in all aspects of
schematic design, NJ department of Health design rewiews, design
development, contruction documents and client coordination.
1980 Obtained New York State License No.14694
PUBLICATIONS
Works have been published in trade and consumer magazines;
House Beautiful, Ladies' Home Journal, Progressive Architecture, Kitchen
and Bath Business magazine, Kitchen & Bath Concepts and Designer's
Kitchens & Baths. Contributing author for Kitchen and Bath Concepts.
AWARDS
Design Award presented by Residential Space Planners
International, March 1990.
EXHIBITIONS
Design entry exhibited at Grand Central Station, New York,
NY 2003 in the international competition "Designing the Highline" for
rehabilitation of the historic elevated railroad line on the westside of
lower Manhattan. Photography and 9/11 Commerative Banner "Remembrance
Day" have been exhibited at Artforms Gallery, Philadelphia, PA, Krasdale
Galleries, NY, Burlington County College, NJ and 9/11 children's Fund,
Red Hook, NY. Syracuse University Alumni Exhibition, Syracuse University
Lubin House, New York, New York. Annual exhibition by the School of
Architecture.
LECTURES

Guest speaker on remodeling design illustrated with slides of completed
